Roots Ahead w/ Marta San
Excited to be receiving Marta San at Roots Ahead this month!
Marta is a driving force of Lisbon's underground, being in charge of the programming at Bus - Paragem Cultural and an integral part of Groovie Records, also producing the traveling get-together event Fulminante.
Her sound wheels around cumbia, Anatolian music, punk and egg-punk, garage, rock&roll, indie, modern rock, experimental, noise, and other oddities, which she serves either in her spicy solo DJ sets, or in: the 'Rat Girls In High Heels' project (punk, egg-punk, ska, new wave, and satanic cumbias, in a duo with Inês Estiveira); again solo as 'Orient Express' (exploring the sounds of Asia Minor, from traditional to neo-psychedelia and electronica); or battling it out in 'Tropical Clash' (cumbia, psych, electronica, tropical and Latin, in a duo with Johnny y Los Baby Gatos).
