With over 15 years of contributions to the cultural and electronic music industries on a transnational level, Sara de Barros Batista is a curator, event producer and cultural manager from Lisbon, having collaborated with projects such as Waking Life Festival, Boom Festival, Fabric London and Arroz Estúdios throughout her path, to name a few. As a Portuguese FLINTA live performer, analog composer and music producer under the alias Sara Wual (started in 2022), she crafts 100% original underground electronic music live shows infused with Ambient, Acid, Jazz, and Krautrock textures, occasionally accompanied by other artists, Visual Arts and even Poetry. Co-founder of the ELA collective, House Mouse, female : pressure Portugal, UMIM Portugal and TEMAS Records, her presence in the scene strives to keep underground legacies and inclusive spaces alive both behind the scenes and on the dancefloor. She is currently based between Brussels and Lisbon.
