Records of Origin w/ Joe Delon
For episode three of Records of Origin, we welcome Lisbon based DJ, writer and label head Joe Delon.
Originally from Birmingham and now deeply embedded in Lisbon’s underground, Joe has become a vital presence in the city’s dance music ecosystem. His sets move fluidly through disco, house, techno, electro and beyond, balancing playfulness with precision and always rooted in the dancefloor.
As the founder of Welt Discos and a longtime radio host and music writer, Joe brings a thoughtful, community minded perspective to club culture. In this conversation, we explore his musical foundations, his journey from the UK to Portugal, and what it means to nurture a scene while staying true to your own taste.
Episode three traces the records, experiences and ideas that shaped Joe Delon’s path, and how those origins continue to inform the way he plays, curates and connects people through sound.
