Alex D’Alva Teixeira is a genre-defiant Lisbon-based artist, rooted in Angola and Brazil, whose work moves with the urgency of the dancefloor and the emotional precision of pop. Whether fronting Lisbon trio D’ALVA or stepping behind the decks, his practice is driven by magnetic performance energy and a curatorial ear tuned to the friction points between electronic music, Afro-diasporic rhythms and contemporary songcraft.
Beyond music, Alex has continuously expanded his language through theatre with Teatro Praga and performance art projects with Grada Kilomba, pushing his presence onstage into something closer to ritual: part club, part performance, part communal release.
His trajectory spans Portugal’s biggest stages (NOS Alive and Super Bock Super Rock, among others) while remaining deeply connected to the intimacy and intensity of Lisbon’s nightlife, including Lux Frágil, where he was invited to curate a special night. A resident at Festival N2 (Chaves), he’s also played parties like Curvs (Planeta Manas) and Digital Destiny x Dengo Club, shaping DJ sets that feel unmistakably his.
In 2026, he releases LIVRE, a solo EP that celebrates club culture as a space of transformation, where experimental sound design collides with pop instinct.
