Aleakim is an artist born in Olinda (Brazil) and based in Rio de Janeiro. Her sets inhabit the intersection of the syncopated percussiveness of Afro-Diasporic rhythms, the abstract sounds of Detroit Techno, and latin-american Baile culture.
She is part of the afro-descendant resistance collective Escola de Mistérios and the low-tech cyberpunk collective Glitch Baile.
She has performed at parties and festivals such as Rock the Mountain, D-Edge Rio, Queremos Festival, Circo Voador, Veludo Festival, Mientras Dura, and has participated in many brazilian and worldwide radio programs (such as Planet Ibiza, Function, Root, Casa Caos).
