TALES SELECTA hails from Brasília, the modernist Brazilian capital created in the 1960s from all the national and international cultural matrices that shaped the city and its new sound culture. Also based in Lisbon since 2018, Tales researches and records Brazilian, Latin, American, African, and Jamaican music that blends traditional organic rhythms with contemporary electronic music. His sets combine black music, soulfunk, Afrobeat, Afrohouse, electrofunk, triphop, hiphop, reggae, raggamuffin, dancehall, dubwise, sambasoul, and Brazilian grooves.
