Tiago Batista is a visual artist based in Lisbon and behind the decks, here and there, he is also known as DJ Espiral or DJ Watteau, as he feels like it at the moment. During his creative process in his studio, music is always present and those lonely moments are prolific for listening to new music and thinking about the memories and sensations that those sounds bring with them. Tiago likes to write about all this in a partial and intimate way and, from time to time, publishes these texts on the blog Desenhando Constelações, where he also publishes commented sets of songs. For this hour on East Side Radio, Tiago draws a constellation of musical possibilities, from Brazilian new age composer Pricilla Ermel to Portuguese pop singer Lena d'Água. What we'll hear in between is what music can do.
